1.  Beartooth Pass   2.  Million dollar highway  3.  Lewisburg WV to Seneca Rocks WV  4.  hwy 170  Big Bend national park to Presidio Texas   5.  Cherohola Skyway.   I haven't been everywhere ridden in 27 states but this is a nice list for me.

Thanks for posting a motorcycle topic.   cooldude

I've only been on one of those (WVa).

Anymore, my favorite (day) ride, is any of them where it is cool and dry and at least partly cloudy, traffic and lights aren't too bad, I don't hit any bad gravel, I don't end up behind a bunch of leaking dump trucks, and no car does anything stupid near me.

Tomorrow's looking promising.   Smiley

Done all of those but for 16 the whole way

Up in Canada the road from Canmore to Jasper is pretty darn special
Most of it is Icefields Parkway

Been wanting to ride 2 east from my son's place in Bothel WA maybe someday  Going to the Sun was great and it has the bonus of ending at  St Mary's where you can get Grizzleberry Pie

Lolo was great in pouring freezing rain, probably even better if good weather lol

And though it is sometimes foggy as heck the Blue Ridge Parkway is great

Here in NY in the Catskills is a road called Claryville/Oliveria that ends at Hunter Mountain after passing Slade Mountain which we took some of y'all on in the past

Chief Joseph's Highway and in Northern California, all of 299 East and West, all of 36 East and West, and 3 that connects them both.  We rode 299 and 36 twice on the same trip, if I am remembering right.  Disco can correct me, but they are great roads!

Here in Texas, we really only have one area that is noteworthy, the hill country.  There are 3 roads named The Three Sisters that are pretty good for a non-mountainous region.

Pretty much all roads in Colorado are good, especially 550 on the West side of the state.  There are several roads in Northern Colorado, off the highway, that I will not be going on again.  Offroad on BMW dual sports, riding way over my head on rocky rutted up roads.  We called the roads Appliance Avenues for the different sized rocks we had to avoid.

SR 135 south between SR46 east of Nashville, IN to US 50. Story is a popular biker destination also. Actually the Brown County area is a destination for riders year around especially fall time Nashville. Story has food and beverage along the way. I call it the "mini dragon" w/o traveling to TN.  cooldude

Madison, IN is east on US 50 as a destination also. Riverboat Inn is a bikers destination/motel.

SR135 is a nice country road into Corydon, have ridden it many times!
Never have I ever seen a solitary soul at Story. Quite the ghost town.
Mini dragon?  Don’t see any connection, just a nice route through farmland  :cooldude

We're predominantly a prairie/farmland state the last time I looked around. 1000 ft. elev. maybe on the largest southern hills.

The connection is I don't have to go to TN to achieve a "Cheap Thrill" to say I rode The Dragon. I'm not as young I used to be and don't really care for that kind of riding just because road debris and all the other folk and not knowing their riding skill set.

SR135 is a nice ride and Story is usually busy on weekends and especially spring and fall. Southern IN for the most part is below I 74 corridor E to W for the most part though following the Wabash corridor up thru L/WL area provides a decent ride. Got to go over the Ohio River a ways for "thrills" obviously.  cooldude

Learn something every day:
“predominantly a prairie/farmland” - just exactly like tail of the Dragon. - TN/NC Got it!
Like the road I live on too, don’t know every rider’s skill set, so it’s a major Dragon   2funny
Because no need to cross ohia River, gonna hafta get a tee shirt & patch, oops it’s a ghost town   angel

One day, when we were out riding and just looking around, I saw a road that I was unaware of here in the Midlands of South Carolina.  It was a road named "The Devils Backbone".

So, the next chance I got, the wife and I took a ride on this road to see where it might go and how it was for riding.  It was ok.

So, here is a video I made of our ride on the SC "Devils Backbone".  The road starts at 1:02.  Also, you have to use the gear icon on the video (on Rumble) to select the highest resolution.  I select 4k.

The map says the highway number is State Road 32-46.  In the video the road starts by turning right (south) off of US-378 at Lake Murray.

It is all relative  This post is about favorite rides, we all have them just like we all have opinions

I am no skilled twisty rider as everyone agrees who has ridden with me over decades that my skill set in twisties, aint so good as I get near 70 yrs on this planet

But I can and do ride in heavy truck traffic around the Bronx all the time at highway speed which scares the crap out of normal folks from the country and have the ability to split lanes when necessary between trucks on the cross bronx and deegan expressways, just not at highway speeds lol  Heck, I did not find LA freeways a challenge at all but the roads in SE Ohio/WV where you cant tell where the road goes as you crest a hill give me shivers

I dont bounce as well as in days past and I have seen riders get killed in grizly fashion.

Just do us all a favor guys  and talk $hit to each other in PM's so we dont have to read it

We all get y'all dont enjoy each other at present

Hey Sandy, didnt we meet at the vendor area at Americade in Lake George while you were on your way to Cabot Trail a few years back?  You were with a riding buddy?
