yeah I am a sucker when it comes to an old Corvette

I think the owner said it was a 67

Actually I made a u turn to check it out and spoke to the folks settin on chairs outside a gas or repair shop

Funny how little things can detour you for almost an hour as we talked cars and bikes

The James Bond type wheels and exhaust low on the side are pretty neat

Never owned one but rented a 2013 convertible from Vegas so wife and I could drive to Zion  That was freakin fun 2 days but a bit pricey

Lot of custom work on that one . Just from that one picture I can see the hood has a custom scoop, custom fender lips, custom molding around the aftermarket side pipes, and the fender scoops seem to be modded also. I am fairly certain that those are Thrush side pipes which were sold for application to any variety of vehicles. I love the color.

Here was my '69 droptop (350/350 with barrel hood, and the stupid headlights).  (if this link still works).

The bright sunlight can change the look a bit on that corvette. It probably is the repaint Marina Blue, just a few more coats of clear than what the factory sent it out with.

My 65 had factory side pipes and the one piece knock off wheels also. Those are not the correct side 'scoops' for a 67 though. Those styled ones were on 64/65. I can't see the back clearly enough. The 67 is the only model of C2 that had reverse lights over the real license plate.

I was a teenager in 63 when the C2 was introduced. That blue was one of the most popular colors then. What colors are “correct” for classic cars?

All Corvettes are red!!! Not really but that’s what I ended up buying. But there was a blue I was looking for when I was shopping but the production numbers for the year and model I was looking for made my search at the time futile. Meaning all the cars I found were either too rough, too modified, or just simply out of my price range.

This is Nassau Blue which was available in 1999-2000 fixed roof Corvettes and they were few and far between, I’m talking just a few hundred copies for both model years. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it spoke to me.

It rained Cats and Dogs on us that day:
