I have a Tourer model. I bought the Interstate trunk with the mounting brackets. However, the brackets do not line up. Is there a difference in the frame between the 2 models? Or is there a spacer that will compensate for the gap? The seller of the trunk said that the bracket parts were all there.
The brackets are several inches off on each side of the bike.

Need a little more information, a picture(s) would be even better. I don't quite follow what you're referring to. If you have a digital camera, take some shots and describe what or where your problem is with those brackets.

Also, do you have the side fender rails for an I/S? You need those to mount the brackets.

As above, you need IS fenders rails to work with the trunk.
