With 118,000 miles on my bike, if the average rpm is 3,000 my bikes engine has rotated 212,400,000 times! That's Amazing.

They say it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master something. I have ridden motorcycles a total of 188,000 miles. Let's say on average it takes two hours to ride 100 miles. 188,000/100 = 1,880 * 2 = 3,760hrs. That actually really puts things into perspective.

One would need to ride half a million miles to reach the 10,000hr mark.

I agree about DDT. I only have a bit over a quarter million miles on my main Valk, but I have about 1.5 million on all bikes. My calculations put my average speed at closer to 45 mph. So 1.5 million divided by 45 mph= 33,333 hours of riding. I've read that a Masters degree (I only have a Bachelors) requires 10,000 hours. I have about three Masters in Motorcycling (MM degree?). I want to be DDT when I grow up though. I love my time that I spend riding with Bruce.
There are 8,760 hours in one year. That means I have sat on a motorcycle seat for about three years and nine months of my 71 years and 1 month of life. I consider that time well spent!

I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.
