I went through Montana and Idaho last year. Found an excellent road that I would like to do again ... if only I could find it! I believe it is in Northern Idaho. Either Priest Lake or Upper Priest Lake but I am not certain. I have attached photos to help make that designation. The picture of the bridge is the one we crossed just prior to a Grizzly Bear Habitat on a beautiful lake. I have promised my friends that I would take them there and now I am scrambling to locate it again. Any help would be appreciated.

I looked on Google Earth and don't see any bridges on Priest Lake, must be somewhere else. Was there any towns, RR tracks nearby, etc., to help pin it down?

Isn't that bridge on Lake Pend Orielle?   If so it is Hwy 2 and Hwy 2 Junction, or another way of looking is from Sagle, ID to Sandpoint, ID.

It has been many many moons since I was on it, but that kind of slides into my mind as to where you are talking about.   Especially if it was Northern Idaho.

Problem is, there are a big bunch of bridges in Idaho, and the surrounding area.

I don't have a Montana map no more.  See if you can find one and look for bridges and that bear habitat.       I know there is a Grissley Mtn out there, it is about

There is a safe web site if you know the general area you can go to it and look at a on the street view of the area. I use to check out some of the places I have been to see what it looks like now. It doesn't show all the streets, but the ones in blue.

hope this might help, or just play with it.

Looks like Lake Koocanusa to me, near Libby MT.  Hwy 37 perhaps.

Looked up that location on Google Earth and you can click on the blue squares that pop up. One is almost an identical shot compared to your last picture.

I'd say that's more than "almost" Smiley  The lake shot looked familiar but I had to Google 'Koocanusa bridge' to verify his bridge shot.

Most welcome, glad to help.  That route was my first road trip on my new Valk way back in '99.

I visited that area (Northern Idaho) in the late 80's. I really fell in love with that part of the country! I tried everything possible to move out that way but being that our family was all on the East Coast, I was over ruled and I can't say I blame them. You really can't appreciate the majesty of the North West from pictures or videos. You have to experience it in person. Hopefully, before the man upstairs pulls my switch, I'd like to make one last trip out that way!
