Sena has been running a sale on their 10C Evo, so I bought myself one as a birthday present. It's basically their SMH10 with a camera added. The picture quality won't compete with even an average phone camera, but it's reasonably good -- and convenient. I bought it because I often see interesting scenery or a roadside attraction, but don't have the space (or desire) to pull over and get my phone out. I've only used the still photo mode so far. I can't imagine that anyone (even myself) would want to endure hours of video taken while I ride.

The weather in Colorado is incredible today (low 70s) so I took an 80 mile ride on I-70 east of Denver. The photo below (size reduced to be web-friendly) gives an idea of the perspective and quality. It's not something you'd want to print and frame, but not bad either.

Very nice! Does it have a continuous record mode? Beyond getting stills would be nice to have video evidence of how things really went down should you be involved in a he said she said after an accident...

It has multiple video modes. There's a continuous dash cam mode that drains the battery in a few hours. But on demand should not be an issue. Taking a photo or starting a video only requires two taps on the unit's photo button.

Is it capable of being wired for power to the unit from the bike for continuous power feed?
I don't mind having to deal with the wiring issue.

Sena makes quality products.

When I bought my s60 I considered the camera unit but decided against it.

Picture look good.

Good to see it works well.

W/o looking it up, I believe their products can be hard wired.

It can be charged while in use and uses a mini-USB connector. So you could power it from the bike or a small power bank in your pocket. I prefer the latter so you're not wired to the bike.

FYI the sale is on the Sena website, while other sellers appear to be charging full price. I bought mine last month for about $250. This month they have a 2 for 1 sale.

With the great weather continuing (upper 70s in the area) I took another ride and tried a video. Both the audio and video quality were great. There was less ambient noise through the headset microphone than I expected. There are 4 video resolution settings, and when recording the camera creates a pair of MP4 files: hi-res and an easier to share low-res (576x320).
