Greetings all. It has been a long time since I have logged in here. I see quite a few long timers still here and still riding Valks! Not sure you all even remember me but that's ok.  I did an IBA run in 2001 with some of you.
I've been riding a Wing since 2015 primarily as I had ambitions to do some cross country runs and felt it was more capable and held a lot more fuel. The Valk was mostly not getting ridden, so a couple of years ago I gave it to my son and it now resides in his garage in Florida. Since I have a winter place down there as well I still get to jump on it now and then for a blast.

Anyways, hope all is well......

Despite lots of cajoling from Paul Sullivan (Tangman), I had no desire to do the New England IBA ride.  So I declined. I do remember meeting you at some point, though. Nice to hear from you!  cooldude

Tony, yes, Paul was one of the iBA riders. That turned out to be a hell of a challenging ride weather-wise.
We met a few times, pretty sure at Captain Bobs bike night and if I recall there was a wrenching session at your home that I came to. I know we were syncing carbs and distinctly remember someone replacing a trigger wheel or a timing belt and messing it up.

Good to see you guys all doing well. Geez I am pushing 70 now and happy to be able to enjoy riding.

You're right about the wrenching day at my house. That was a good day with a bunch of riders coming. Hoy came all the way from NH. I had a carb sync tool, so we did several carb syncs.

Valkrocket (Ron) formerly of Plymouth, now residing in South Carolina, attempted a trigger wheel change with help from other riders. Yes it did get messed up and the bike could not be ridden home. I don't remember how Ron got home. He may have been a passenger on some else's bike for the ride home. Ron's bike spent the night n my garage. My youngest child (daughter) loved the bike because it had a bunch of skeletons on it. Ron came back the next day to trailer the bike home.

It was a memorable day.  Wink
