Getting ready for the grandkids to invade in another hour or so. It’s so seldom we have everyone together at once! Everyone except my mother who decided to stay home. My wife goes all out around the holidays to make the house fit the season

Hope everyone has a great day.

My wife and I have been cooking for 3 days now.  Feeding around 30 friends and family around 5:00.   Gonna rest and eat left overs for several days afterward.  My wife is 73 yrs old and she said " We aint hosting Thanks giving again ...just too much work...".  I said " You said that last year....and the year before ...and the year before that...". Ha.   She likes doing it

Hope you at least get some help with the cleanup! It’s great that you can round up that many folks at the same time to break bread together.

I'm fortunate enough to be married to a caterer.  It's just the two of us and a lot of great food.

May all of you have a happy Thanksgiving as we remember that first feast when the Pilgrim settlers (with the help of tribal people) celebrated that the Lord had saved them from a year when almost half of them died.  There's always a lot for which to be thankful.

Yes, it was a good day filled with good food and good news; the Packers and the Cowboys won. I have to keep up the facade re. interest in whether the Pack wins or not since I'm married to a Green Bay gal. Frankly, I don't give a rip, I just enjoy watching football. Grin

same,  I use to be a loyal cowboy fan in 70s thru 90s but not much anymore, same goes for Packers.  I enjoy watching football but really don't give a rip as you say much anymore.  Always disliked the bears and vikings but being a lifelong WI person,  hard to like the rivals.
