I listen to NPR on the treadmill every morning (music, never news).
This morning is all traditional Christmas choir music.
This brought back many happy memories from long ago singing in church and school glee club choirs, and of course Christmas concerts were our biggest events of the year. I started out as a boy soprano, and even had a short solo once. Later I was a 2d tenor or baritone. I loved to sing and am dismayed I can't remember all the words to these old songs.
Forty years of tobacco has mostly destroyed my voice, so it's only in the shower or backyard now.
Living alone, holidays mostly come and go with no notice at my home. But I spent an hour on the phone with my 96yo mom yesterday, and we relived old family Christmas stories from long ago.

The rain has quit and the sun is out, and if the roads dry out, I will try to get a short ride in.
Merry, merry and happy happy to you all.
