Had opportunity yesterday to visit Starbase, Tx and tour a couple of the buildings being built there.  Its an amazing place.  Elon is building a whole City there.  It is already incorporated city.  Major stuff happening there.  Its near Brownsville Tx.   Got to see a rocket ship standing next door.  Not allowed to take pictures while there.  Elon has amazing vision.   He has already spent 13 billion in the Brownsville/ Starbase Tx area. He is building a whole city there.  Has built whole neighborhoods for his employees and they get a silver Tesla pickup.   Musta been 500 of those trucks there. Rumor amongst the workers he is going to build a shopping mall next.   Great visit.

Cool.  We're thinking about going there in March.  Do they offer actual tours of the facilities or are you pretty much on your own?

Definitely make the trek down there if you can! I've been twice now (Both times on my 'Wing)

Pics and writeup of my most recent trip: (And we got to see Starship test launch 11! FREAKING AWESOME!)

And my earlier first trip down there:

To the general public no tours, you're on your own. And be forewarned the highway heading there is a 2 lane rural road that's been beat to hell by all the traffic heading there. More pothole than asphalt at this point.

No public facilities. No bathrooms. No food. So go before you go and bring what you'll need. And it's on the beach. I mean literally on the beach.

Never seen so many Cybertrucks!

Dont know about public tours.   My son owns Energy Mechanical Company and he is doing one of the buildings there.  He bought another work truck and I drove it from Houston to Starbase and delivered it.
Got to tour a little before he dropped off in Brownsville and I flew home.

When I delivered the truck I was also pulling a 30' enclosed trailer full of materials and Serk you are right that road going into Starbase was a killer.  I was bouncing all over the place thinking "when i left Houston 7 hrs ago this new work truck had 22 miles on the speedo and this is one heck of a way to breaking in this new engine and transmission"...ha
