Even though the Seahawks were favored to win, I had hoped the Pats could put up a good fight and potentially put up a win. Obviously that didn't happen. They've got a lot of work to do next season to address deficiencies. I'm listening now to Boston Sports Radio and the accompanying Monday morning quater-backing. Fans are mostly complaining about the offensive line, in particular Will Campbell; Josh McDaniels play calling; and Drake Maye's performance. For what it's worth, the Pats significantly over achieved this season. Nobody expected them to go to the Superbowl. I enjoyed watching them and we'll see what happens next year. I have confidence in Mike Vrable's ability to raise the bar for the Team.

It was tough to watch, and though not my Detroit Lions, I was pulling for them Tony. Both have great defenses, but the Pats only getting a few 1st downs well into the 2d half was pretty dismal. Defenses win championships, and many Super Bowls end up being less than great games to watch. I am no fan of all the singing and dancing and crap they put up every year either. It's supposed to be a football game, not a Barnum and Bailey 3-ring circus. Still, they made it to the Big Game, and that's still pretty great.

It was a tough game to watch. I was most frustrated by the play calling. Delayed draws were not working and that is pretty much all they were running. There was no effort to get help to Cambell who was getting his ass kicked all night. It's not like putting a tight end or running back to help him block was going to hurt, heck they could not throw a pass anyway. Maye did not have much time to throw, he took a lot of hits and that probably had him rattled and frustrated. I still think Maye is a legitimate QB with great potential. Ii agree Tony we over achieved this year.

In press conference yesterday at Gillette, Vrable made it clear that he's sticking with Campbell as the left tackle. He's a rookie and Vrable believes he has the ability to improve. I hope so.

He is young and probably learned a big lesson, I don't think we will be seeing him shirtless slamming drinks next season. I feel confident with Maye, he is young as well and some of those completed passes he made this year Brady couldn't make.

I read an article yesterday (not sure how accurate it was) about Christian Gonzales signing a contract through the 2030 season....Hopefully it's true.

They did really good all season! For a young team, new coach, rookie players. They were out-played! I'm VERY proud of our team. Sad that it was a big defeat, we will see them next season! GO PATRIOTS!!

It's about money. He's do 6 million this Friday if they weren't releasing him. He earned 10.5 million last season. That would have jumped to 16 million plus for next season. Plus he's in his thirties.

The Pats are going after AJ Brown of the Eagles. He played for Vrable when he was with the Tennessee Titans. Not sure if the Pats will pull the trigger based on the article at the link. The Eagles reportedly have set their A.J. Brown trade price high. The Pats are notoriously cheap. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/patriots-rumors-eagles-causing-frustration-200110400.html

Is he worth the asking price..?? His attitude last year was of a prima-donna....And that may have been because of the coach and lack of plays called his way....Will make for an interesting trading season coming up...
