Day 14 – 7/01/09 --- 65 miles (Columbia Icefield Center to Jasper, Alberta via the Icefields Parkway)
31 at 7:30 AM --- 64 at 4 PM

It was overcast and cold when we left at about 9:30 AM.  We stopped at Sunwapta Falls and took a short walk.  We also stopped at Athabasca Falls.  We arrived at the Mt. Robson Inn, Jasper at 1:30, walked to town, had light lunch and walked part of Patricia St.

Here is a link to a map of the Icefields Parkway.  This part of the trip goes from kilometer marker 127 to the northern end of the Icefields Parkway (kilometer marker 230) and in to Jasper, Alberta.

More good memories.  cooldude The place we stayed in Jasper was made up of individual log cabins. Everyone in the group but us was thrilled to get to spend 2 nites in a log cabin. We live in a log cabin that was originally built in the 1850's so it was no big deal to us.
What was cool about the  place was about 100' from our cabin was the edge of a high bluff that overlooked the confluence of the Athabasca and Maligne rivers. Awesome view.
keep 'em comin' Gilligan.  cooldude
