Just saw this on the news feed I watch.  Here is the quote from the link below:

Chuck Norris, the martial arts champion who became an iconic action star and led the hit series “Walker, Texas Ranger,” has died. He was 86.

https://variety.com/2026/film/news/chuck-norris-dead-walker-texas-ranger-dies-1236694953/

I was sorry to hear of his hospitalization yesterday and was again surprised and saddened by the report of his death this morning.

Again, from the link above

“While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” his family wrote.

"Chuck Norris served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962, where he was stationed in South Korea and began his martial arts training"

Rest in peace, Rest in Peace.   angel

Wow,  seemed like he was going to make it longer but there you have it, when it’s your time it’s your time. He was great RIP. Kind of ironic this post is right next to Oss’s post of things that were great but are no more.

Chuck seemed like a good guy. His tv show was of a good nature kind of show, fighting bad guys and setting a good example.

Now he can fight bad guys in the spirit world, throwing punches and roundhouse kicks.  cooldude

RIP Chuck.

Some things I did not know about Chuck and his family.

Norris' younger brother, Aaron Norris, served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and Norris' youngest brother, Wieland Clyde Norris, is listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 9W, Line 5.

And although Chuck served in the Air Force (1958-1962), he is also one of less than 100 people ever conferred with the title "Honorary Marine."

As the USMC said today: "Chuck Norris didn't join the Marine Corps...the Marine Corps applied to him."

I was not aware of that.  Thanks for the information.
