As I'd mentioned in another thread had to take the G/W trike to Honda in Spgfld Mo. J T picked me up right @0700 hrs and away we went! We waited bout 18 mins fer them to open the gate and we unloaded the trike talked with svc mgr and Done at Honda! Now mind you I rolled outa the rack bout 0550 hrs and made the roll imto spgfld sans caffeine! We wuz bout 10 mins from Buc-ee's! I got a breakfast burrito called The beast-egg sausage cheese and taters rolled up in a flour tortilla! 20 oz? coffee and the bill was $9.18 out the door! J Ts tab wuz $10.00 even with a steak egg cheese burrito and some non soda soft drink. My coffee did NOT taste the least bit burned and the beast IS 1 Danged Good breakfast burrito! J T had nothin but praise fer his choice. I's already texted Serk and told him what I'm tellin y'all now-I AM a Buc-ee's Convert!! Did I mention it's HUGE! Lota touristy stuff Everywhere but all We wanted was the Food! I'm gonna go fer an evening meal as I understand their pulled pork is purty good too! RIDE SAFE,

I’m lucky enough to have a Buc-ee’s about 11 miles from my house and my normal routine causes me to drive right past their exit off I75 at least two times a week. I buy a lot of gas from them and I get my non-ethanol fuel for my lawn equipment there too. I needed gas for the Vette today and 93 was $4.49 which is maybe the most I’ve ever paid for a gallon of gas.
They do have a lot of food to tempt you, if you go inside to use those clean bathrooms! I try to stay out of the store as much as possible as any savings I might enjoy on fuel evaporates in the food court area.

I went to my first one this weekend. My backroads route to DeSoto State Park crosses an interstate near the Georgia Alabama state line, there's a Buc-ees. It seemed the whole interstate, both directions, drained off at that intersection and went to Buc-ees. We didn't need gas, but it was $2.50. We walked past the brisket chopping section, smelled great. The bathroom had 4,000,000 people in it, it was clean.
I looked for an alternate route for next year, but only found a four mile long red-light lined walmart zone on the south side of Calhoun, so I guess I'll go past there again.

The first Buc-ee’s in AZ is being built now. Can’t wait for it to open. Gonna be a destination day ride.

Wen you ingress from either end there is a LOT of tourist trap stuff at the Springfield Mo location. Should you ingress from the fuel islands-center I believe-you are immediately in the food area. As I'd mentioned in the O P the coffee was Good. I've been to a Lot of truck stops and handi marts over the years and all across our fair land of AMERICA. Buc-ee's just May hve some of the best coffee I've had from a handi mart! Depending on When the trike is ready I may wait til a late lunch or early supper at Buc-ee's. The reports I've perused on line seem to be largely favorable. RIDE SAFE.

Love me some Buc-ee's but I know a lot of folks, especially professional truck drivers that refuse to go there - Buc-ee's bans trucks, they don't wanna get the truck stop vibes... I understand why they'd do that, but some truckers that that personally...

Buc-ee's is NOT a truck stop nor does it desire to be a truck stop. We were in a Ford Super Duty crew cab and totin a 12' trailer and there was ample parking for that and R Vs BUT corners in and around Buc-ee's building not designed with semis in mind. And even the roads near Buc-ee's have Prominent No Parking signage. Judging by the time of day-1000 hrs-and how many vehicles were in the fuel islands and walkin around inside and purchasing food I'm thinkin here Buc-ee's has a winner on their hands! RIDE SAFE.

Doesn't seem like they'd need to make a rule to keep trucks out. No trucker with any sense would ever pull in there twice. We were two motorcycles. Our egress plan was for each of us to "get out of there however we could" and meet back up down the road.

To each their own I guess. I avoid locations like that most of the time. I go into a store to get what I want or need, make it quick, pay up and leave. For the same reasons I don’t go to concerts NASCAR Races or professional sporting events, just too many people.
I love family events like InZane though.

Same perspective here too. Been to a Buc-ees once on one of our trips to Florida. Impressed with some aspects, and not so much with other aspects. I just want a quick gas up and snack and beverage stop and get back to the road. But Buc-ees isn't a quick stop. It is a destination stop. It is huge and crowded. They got lots of stuff. Good stuff. But too much stuff. In a sense it is kind of like a Wall Drug vibe. Tourist trappy vibe. And sometimes that vibe is fun. But if I'm on a schedule, I won't stop there.

I can always judge when I want to avoid a stop at Buc-ees by how far the exit ramp is backed up ! One of the best gas and go stops in Kentucky is on the Western Kentucky Parkway. The gas station and food is located in an extra wide spot of the median with entrances and exits for both eastbound and west bound lanes. Anybody see something like this in other states?

We went over to Tennessee last month and there are many Buc-ee's on I40. We stopped at one on the way home for gas & restroom break. Like someone else said kinda tourist vibe to it but I thought it a pretty neat place.

I was there today! It was a madhouse due an abundance of travel trailers and motor homes which can be expected on weekends. However for me it was a quick in and out, it works out like that sometimes. A word of caution though. There was one fatality at that exit yesterday morning, I don’t have clear details but the way the exits are setup mixed with local traffic and travelers it can be dangerous if you don’t mind your p’s and q’s, but that’s true in most situations. Word has it that it was the fifth fatality there since Buc-ee’s opened. No fault of theirs though. I understand that they requested a separate exit off I75 for their location , which is the only business located at that exit but the State DOT TURNED THEM DOWN. It would have made perfect sense for that particular spot.

Yeowch, that is a bad area! https://wbontv.com/man-dies-in-latest-fatal-accident-near-buc-ees-in-richmond/UNRELATED to the above (But I was reminded of it while looking at satellite views of the area) they have a large print of their logo on the roofs of the buildings so they're recognizable from satellite images... https://maps.app.goo.gl/8jt43ahP4FY14bYb9

I've only been to a few but it's always entertaining. It's amazing how much stuff they sell. Other than fuel there are no bargains, but that doesn't deter people from spending lots of money.
The kitchens are enormous and most food I've bought has been pretty good. I've never seen a single place to eat. There's not even a place to sit down other than in the bathroom stalls. They obviously want you to spend money and get back on the road.

You iz correctamundo! I'd neglected to mention the no seating inside. It wuz nice enough the day we were there to use the tailgate of the pickup for our table! Buc-ee's it would appear do NOT want folks lollygaggin about and takin up space. B TW most Caseys handi marts are sans inside seating too. RIDE SAFE.

It has been said that each parking space is worth ~$2,500 per day, so buy your stuff and get on your way. They have to turn over those spaces many times per day to equal $2,500. Just Sayin'.
