Rode the ole Blue 2007 Electra Glide down toda beach in 2009

Stayed on the beach, temp was on average 38 degrees last year.

Day before I got there it had been 82 degrees, just my luck.

Rode through some tough weather, made it there and back  in one piece.

Hated the whole adventure, just looking at all the trailer queens was sickening.

Blew my horn at all the trailer bikers and waved, like why go if you ain't gonna at least enjoy the ride down.

Here's a guy wiht a rather nice motiff for a bike, but I would not ride to to Daytona.

Now that's a Chopper.

Just how many ways can a fellow dress up a two lunger and make it look different.

Answer is you can't.

All you can do is go along to get along wiht that crowd. the two lungers that is.

Oh I should add not going to the Bike Week this year.

Even if I was healthy enough, did it once and that was enough.

Does anyone know what really started the annual pilgramage to Daytona every year at this time?

This is a trivia question. Evil Evil angel angel

I figured it out last year, just checking on everyone else's idea why it is what it is.

PS There are no wrong answers on this question, but there is one that is really why it got started in the first place.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Thunder Bolt you have just won the Grand Prize of a Three Pound Chocalate Chip Cookie.

The Daytona 200 that was originally run on the beach, was the original gathering beacon.

That was a while back. Does anyone remember the First Annual race and what year it was held?

Because I don't know.

Ok Coot you win the Second Place Trophy and a Picture of Beer at Hooters.

I don't mean an actual picture of beer, just the photo of a picture of beer.

Sounds like second place pays more.

That's kinda like the Ropa Dope in the Ali days.

Let your opponent punch himself out and then win the Beer.

Coot 'n I rode demo Boss Hoos's at Sturgis one year. If I had the dosh in the bank I'd have one in the garage.

Also met a couple from Florida in Sturgis who rode one to Sturgis. The lady said it was pretty comfortable. Only drawback was stopping for gas all the time - way to get a back and leg stretch  Grin
