I would be willing to offer my services for a Wrench Party if anyone is interested.  I figure with the time of year, a Carb Sync party would be in order.  I would do a valve check but the motor has to be cold to do that.  It takes a few hours for the motor to cool off enough to check valve clearances.  (I have no problem waiting for someone's motor to cool...I could start with my bikes.  Cheesy)

Let me know if anyone is interested and we will work out a date.

Hi Joe,

My I/S could use a carb sync.  Susan and I would be interested in coming out if possible.

Hey Joe,  I think my girls are both up to date. But I would be glad to help in any way I can. Or just to meet the with a few other riders. let me know what kinda dates ,times etc. I will be picking up the hard bags for the I/S , and the front fender for the Standard tommorrow . I'll be dropping off the fuel tank for the Standard for paint, I need to get my butt in gear on the Frenching of the license plate on the rear fender so it can be painted as well. The plate mounting should look something like this. But with the stock tail lite and simple black paint.

St. Louis is only about 4 hrs from east Indiana, sounds like a nice ride. I have never seen a carb sync done, and i know mine needs one. Just need time and date. Would be great to meet some new folks.

The 27th would be fine. I've got plans that evening but I'm not really looking to do anything to my bikes anyway. Just an excuse to meet a few more riders.   Chip

I don't think I need any work done but it's a good excuse for a ride, might get to meet some Valk riders that I've never met and I might learn something in the process --- not much of a down side there!   I'm gonna try to make it, riding from Mt Vernon, IN.

Well, we should be getting rid of that twinkie nomad in the next day or two...but I still have to put Marcia's Valk back together...I have parts EVERYWHERE!!!  And I need to install the hitch on my bike.  But once I do that...I should be able to move everything out on the driveway and have room for working on bikes.  Cheesy  MAN...you are right...I need a bigger garage!!

Hey Indiana! What are your plans on leaving? Times and route of travel? Since I live the farthest, my plans are to leave Fri afternoon and stay along I-70 in Ind and get up the next morning and finish the trip. Not sure about Sat yet, but may ride back and spend night in Ind, wont stay in Ill, or finish the trip home that night. Depends how late the wrenching is going on. All subject to change depending what other Hoosiers are doing.

Fudgie, I'm in Evansville & Lucky Duck is in Mt. Vernon pretty much a straight shot across I64 for us. I haven't made any plans yet still need to see what Lucky Duck want's to do.
Came home from Kansas City last weekend an found out I70 in downtown St Louis is closed.
I'm heading back to KC next week (sister died) so I may be out of touch for a while.
I'm open to whatever works out, I'm ready to ride.
Your always welcome at the house but I don't know how much out of the way it would be.

Sorry to hear scoobydoo.

E-ville is kinda outta the way for me since I'm up in the NE corner. I can be in Indy in little over a hour and 70 is a straight shot. Looks like I wont take 70 into St Lu but hit 55? down to Joes. Really hoping the weather is good for me, wont know till that monday.

From either I-70 or I-64, you would want to take I-255 south (avoid downtown) to I-55.  Take I-55 south to Exit 191 - Hwy 141.  Did everyone get the private message (I thought I sent out) with my address, phone number, and driving instructions?

Talked to Lucky Duck today, if weather holds out, plan on leaving here about 7:00. Pretty much a straight shot across ILL. on I64. Stop for gas at Mt. Vernon then go in the rest of the way. Should arrive around 10:30
Anybody else going to make the trip?

I should be coming straight accross on I-70. Leaving late Fri afternoon and will stay at a rest area, weather permiting, near Ind/Ill border. Finish trip in the morning. If I get over being sick.  tickedoff

Looks like the weather Saturday is going to be great (in the 60s and sunny) in St. Louis.  We are supposed to get rain the next couple of days but it will be cleared out by Friday.

For the folks coming from the east, there will be some construction work on I-55 between I-255 and Downtown this weekend.  In fact, I believe they are supposed to shut down I-55 completely for a bridge repair.  If you are coming west on I-70 or I-64, take the I-255 South exit and follow I-255 down to I-55.  Should save yourself a bit of frustration.

Joe, do they ever stop working on the roads? I've past thru St. Louis the last 3 weekends going to Kansas City and each time something was closed.
Thanks for the heads up, leaving around 7 and it's about 3 hrs.
