This last storm really messed up my property with trees bent and cut in half, large branches down, etc.  Is the cleanup and replacement of trees covered by homeowners insurance?  I certainly don't have receipts for the trees, but some were really nice specimens and highlights of the landscaping.

I tried once, they said my Homeowners did not cover wind damage, acts of god or floood damage. I asked them what exactly did it cover and boy was I suprised.

When Katrina hit, I was not covered for trees unless they actually hit the house.

as jack above stated, only if the tree's hit the house. also does not cover cost of removal of said trees. good luck.

Check with your insurance company but if I remember correctly my homeowners only covered damage to the building.

Ice storm of early 2009 downed four trees in my yard. Ins. would cover after my deductable, $1,000. Removal was about $850.00.  Sad

Ditto, after the ice storm here a few years back I had about 700.00 dollars of damage to my weatherhead and associated wiring, as well as a tree that had to be removed professionally (I ain't insured).

Homeowners said they'd cover the weatherhead but not the tree removal. It would've been cheaper to let it fall on the house.  2funny

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Check with your company. Boss has 2 trees fall down, 1 on the house and other on his barn. The trees were 5' in diameter. They allowed him $500.  Angry Heck that cover the skid loader to haul one of them to the field.
