I finished the upgrades, new final drive gears ( splines worn to points), truck stacks ( old shields dinged and clamps rusted off), rebuilt back fender ( split up both sides) , new rear wheel ( bearing left side had spun in hub), upgraded seat from stock 1997 to 2000, Utopia backrest added. I couldn't wait, shoveled a path through the snow to the sanded ice covered street and got out to dry pavement. Rode 110 Kilometers in a loop stopping at a coffee shop about 45 minutes from home. It was actually darn cold. I'm still shivering and I've been back an hour. Temp today got up to +3 C. It was worth it just to start the season. cooldude

Yeap!  I know how you feel!  I’m looking at taking her out this Sunday, suppose to be 45*F, or 7*C.  Either way, it'll be nice to just be moving in the open breeze!

We’ve got a ton of sand on our roads.  A couple of nice rainy days will clear that up!

Started mine yesterday... let her warm up... changed the oil, and started to hack the ice outta the driveway... now i have a pond to a 4 inch ice curb Sad so i took the tank off to get it buffed out. I'm estimating a season opener in a week.

spent my first 20 years between Mpls and EC area. Loved the area and still have the farm near EC but I sure don't miss the   l o n g  cold winters and pms. The sleds helped to pass time, when there was enough snow... LOL  I'll dedicate some miles to y'all on the way home today!   cooldude

I sat on it the other day and made motorcycle noises... the neighbor's walking by looked at me funny, but oh well... I'd say I put on about 50 miles in the garage  Grin

Hey Silver Got almost 300 kms in today. Went to some beaches. Started at Pt Stanley and finished in Long Point. Not another bike on the road to be seen which makes me question my sanity but the smile is still frozen on.

If the Canadians and Alph are getting their bikes out, I'd better get on mine! Possibly Friday...

I'm just getting in from 4 days on the road so I'm itchin to get back on the bike. Ah spring when the sap starts runnin and the motors hummin. Smiley
