alright, a friend bought some used kuryakyn side covers and they didn't come with the left side stand off that bolts into the side of the engine mount.  i would like to know the size of the original bolt that it replaces, the depth of the stand off, and the size of the bolt that holds on the kuryakyn cover.  if you've got pictures that would be great!!

just to clearify, it's stand off for the most forward bolt on the left side, by the alternator cover.

i plan on making one for him but i don't know the true dimentions.

thanks,

al.

To the best of my knowledge Kuryakyn never made side-covers of any type for our Valks.

I'm guessing your referring to Engine Gap fillers covers that mount directly to the engine hangers. Those were a HondaLine item and similar products were produced by obscure sellers once Honda discontinued their aftermarket Valk products.

If that's what you've got the left bolts pass through the hanger and also secure the 2 coils behind. You'll want to make this a quick-remove (to easy access petcock & fuel lines) so pull a OE bolt and match size and pitch for longer replacement bolts. Cut the heads off, thread them thru the hanger and into the coils use nuts as spacers to adjust position of the cover  to match the fuel switch. Final cut the bolts to accept acorn nuts to finish it all of.
