Livin' the Valk, er, F6B life in Central Florida.

Silver Springs, Florida

What I did at BW, part 2.
Went over to the Astor condo Wed. night, without Kim. She had to work the full week. Sad
Early {8:00 am} breakfast at the local eatery, O'Briens. Doesn't look like much but they make a mean omelet. First bike there!  cooldude

First stop Thursday morning. Destination Daytona. It sure is a lot less crowded early on a weekday.
A ray of motorcycle brilliance in a sea of overpriced mediocrity. Grin Evil Grin

Hung around there for a while, bought a couple of cheap $6.99 Rat's Hole T-shirts for me & the kid. cooldude

Then headed down to Willie's Tropical Tattoo for the ride in chopper show he has every Daytona event. Totally overflow crowd, lotsa homebuilt chops. Some neat-o, some pretty junky!  Shocked
A couple of Honda powered chops.

I thought this flathead V-8 powered bike was kinda cool. Looked way nicer than most!

The Willie's show seems to get bigger every time. I parked in the shopping center lot across US1.
Shoulder to shoulder crowd!

Pic from across the road.

Totally out of control! Grin

Kim pulled some strings & took Friday off. She just caught me before I headed out to Daytona. She had to pick up my paycheck then head on over to the condo so I waited. It's only a 35 mile ride to Astor from Ocala & I had her bike all ready to go before I left.
Kim arriving.

While waiting I snapped a pic of a local feeding the sea birds some fish scraps down by the river. He's like the Pied Piper to the pelicans, gulls, & cranes.  Grin

We met Mooner, Diane, Rick, & Kristy at Rossmeyers on Friday. Great to get the gang together again, sorry no pics from Friday.
Went to the Goldwing/Valk lunch on Saturday. Finally got to meet Trick Rick from Naples. He's as nutty as he appears from his pics & posts!  2funny
Did get to see a neat sight at the luncheon, A 'Wing  pulling two classic Triumphs. I was just as impressed by the Goldwing's feat as I was the cool old Trumpets!

Anyways, there was a lot more of the same old same old Daytona crapola, but it was always nice to get back to the river for some much needed relaxation. We seem to be coming back from Daytona earlier & earlier.  Cool We did'nt even go near Mainstreet this year!
Our view from the balcony porch every eve.

good to see you and Kim and all the gang yesterday at lunch.  We took a right out of the parking lot as Fred suggested, went to dead end, turned right and went to 40, left and on to 75 home.  Good ride yesterday about 250 miles.
