Most missile warheads will not arm until they have traveled a certain (safe) distance.... then again, if it plopped out in front of me, I'd run my azz off too.   2funny

i think what you saw pop up was the tail fins unfolding,,,,
judging by the size of that thing i dont think you could run fast or far enough to get away from it if it did go boom....but garantee you one thing, the whole world would probably hear me holler OH crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are very nasty little missiles. Google "TOW missile". it looks remarkably similar.
