...yep...we went snow shoeing with some friends of hers from work last weekend..
. ..this little adventure started like many do...having breakfast with friends at our favorite little restaurant...The Grayling Restaurant....we rendezvoused with a couple girls that Chili works with and made our plans for the day...we were headed up about 35 miles North of where we live, to the tiny little town of Vanderbilt...there we would meet other folks who were going on this adventure with us...so we had breakfast and rode on up to the meeting place...we were surprised at how many folks were comming...we figured maybe 7 - 10 others might come along...but when we got there, there were at least 30..maybe 35 people hanging out in the parkinglot...so we made a caravn of cars and trucks and headed deep into the woods to a privately owne plot of land that some folks have owned since 1920, and they let others enjoy it and learn about nature. They signed a deed agreement long ago...saying that no matter who owns the land...it cant be developed....once we got to the cabins, our guide gave us a little talk about what the day would entail..

..looking around..I saw my Chili Gurl checking her gear...

. ...then off we went into the wilderness...we walked for about 150 yards and stopped for a little lecture about the woods...and the creatures that call it home..

. ...my lil...Na Nookie of the North was having a blast..and so was I..

...this snow shoeing wasnt half as bad as I thought it was going to be...especially since we stopped every hundred yards or so for a ltlle talk....I wonder if Charlie Bronson needs a ...stand in...for his next wilderness movie..

. ...then off we went into the wilds of Northern Michigan...like I said...there were about 35 of us this fine pre-spring day...so I dont think we were gonna see any wild life up close...all though we did spot a couple eagles soaring high above us ..

. . ...and into the woods we traveled...it was a fine day...sunny and in the mid 40,s...the air was so clear and fresh...Ive always wanted to live in a place like this

. . ..we had about 4 dogs along on this trip...and they were having just as much fun as their human counterparts on this fine day..

. ...after about two hours of traipsing around the woods with boards strapped to our feet...we headed back to the cabins, where they had a nice toasty fire going...and hot cider and donuts for all of us...most excellent way to end our days adventure !

...so folks gathered round the fire and just hung out drinking hot cider and making smores...thats when this young guide came up to me and started a conversation...he told me that it had been bought to his attention, that when everyone was filling out their name tags that one individual had gone...in cognito ...by putting down the name...Timbrwolf...I chuckled and told him that it was my handle from the motorcycle club I belonged to...and being from New Jersey..I figured it would be appropiate..we talked for a bit and he thanked Chili and I for comming..oh no I said...it was us...who should be thanking him for letting us tag along on such a grand advenure !

....all in all...it was a fine day...and I definitely will be going snow shoeing again...this is Northern Michigan my friends...the beautiful place that alot of you will be comming to explore this summer at Inzane X. ...and we are just as excited about it as all of you....
....so until then...we,ll keep the fire going...and the cider hot...and wait for the day that we get to meet all of you...
.......Until July....Cheers !
