Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

Sometimes I wish they made Beano for the brain.

Pulled a good one last Sunday.  Beautiful day for a ride...headed for beach road 30A and maybe a ride by the Outpost...gonna make the circle all the way around Choctawhatchee bay...couldn't ask for better weather for the Panhandle of Florida.

Wallet was a little low, so before leaving town and starting the ride out with the wife on board, made a pit-stop at the Credit Union ATM for some dough.

Pulled up in the parking lot, pulled off the gloves and fiddled with the wallet, leaned the bike over to dismount.....with wife still on the bike.....and then.....here it comes.......FORGOT TO PUT THE KICKSTAND DOWN.

Funny how things like this always happen in slow-motion.

No damage to the wife....she's fine.  No damage to the bike....it's fine...not even a scratch.

My ego however, has suffered irreputable harm....not to mention the slight sprain to my left ankle from trying to prevent escaping brain flatulence.

Good thing she's got a sense of humor.

Sorry to hear that, Glad your wife and bike are ok.  I remember when I was a kid, picking up my girlfriend, who's Dad hated motorcycles and the folks that ride them. Well I pull up on my Kawasaki KZ-1000 and he's in the driveway. He comes unglued and reads me the riot act, she comes out and is just standing there watching. Well he had me so frusterated and I was trying to respect him, I finally went to get off the bike and boom, pinned me under it. He tried to help, not knowing the proper way to lift a motorcycle and hurt his back. I did keep seeing her, but it was real tuff going for me.
Sorry to hijack your thread, brought back memories I had tried to forget. It ends to make for an akward moment Embarrassed

Wow, your lucky nothing happened. I dumped the bike on Mt Moriah in Deadwood to the right side. Parking lot was slooped but not noticable till I was over. Didnt know I went till I heard metal hit the concrete. Kits leg had the floor board slide down her leg. This was 2 days later.  Embarrassed

Glad no damage to you, the wife, or the bike.
Now, how long do you think you'll hear about this from her?
Every time you do something not quite smart, she will bring this up!! Just wait.
I once fell off a mower while going thru the yard (unfortunately there was a witness)-10 years ago, haven't heard the end of it yet!
