i recently bought some bakers (used) and put them on my I/S.  first time out on the bike this year i went to the local ace hardware to buy some longer bolts for the pods so  i could put them on.  a couple of days later i took the valk out for an hour or so running errands, and it seems i'm getting MORE air on me than before  uglystupid2 i don't get it, i thought i was supposed to be more shielded (warmer) from the wind.  anyone else notice this?

Check were the air is coming from.  When I got my Valk, it had the Bakers on it.  I got A LOT of wind coming over the top of the tank.  I made and installed a set of lowers.  This knocked down all the wind.

The only ones I have are the ones on my bike.  I should have made several sets, but I didn't.

I used 1/4" plexi for the lower itself.  The mounting is from a piece of aluminum I had turned to match the fork tubes (inside diameter of mount = outside diameter of tube) and left a 1/4" lip to mount the lowers on.  I should have gone to 3/8" to clear the fork deflectors on the bike.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a band saw so I don't think I will be making a set anytime soon.  I have limited access to a milling machine.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I get alot of air under my batwing and take it in the chest. I'm starting to get use to it. I did put fork deflectors on the front and it cut the wind in half. They are a huge pair of deflectors. Only use them in cold weather and maybe traveling.
