Thanks in advance.

No, the 1800 wing final drive is a sealed unit.....single sided swing arm and the wheel comes off with lug nuts like a car.  He wont have to do a thing cept change oil in the thing every blue moon or so

WOW.....am I bent out of shape!!!!!  I went with the friend with the GL1800 to get a new rear tire installed.  The mechanic rolled the bike onto his work station, put it up on the center stand, grabbed a wrench, unscrewed the 5 lug nuts and off came the wheel!!  Total time 67 seconds..........15 minutes to install a new tire and balance, another 67 seconds to mount the wheel and torque the lug nuts.  Couple of minutes to pay the bill and we were out in 20 minutes!!!!

I gotta look seriously at adapting that swing arm and final drive to the Valk..heck it takes 20 minutes just to get the Valk jacked up and open the second beer!

Looks like a swing arm, final drive, drive shaft can be had on ebay for only 25 to 400 bucks plus shipping..... the mono shock might be interesting.

I forget who it was, but someone here was working on fitting the GL1800 swingarm and shock setup to the Valk frame a couple years ago.  You might be able to find it in a search of the old boards...or maybe they'll see this and speak up.
