Has anyone had any experience having a vinyl wrap instead of custom paint done on your bike? I currently have a ten-year-old custom paint job in pretty good shape. I am thinking of having a custom wrap done over this paint not only for a change, but also because I could use a little advertising and the Valk is out in front of my business everyday. I was thinking of having the business name incorporated as a nose-art design on an aircraft tin type background. I like the idea of being able to remove the wrap in a few years if I want. I have seen plently of cars and vans done, but no motorcycles. Any thoughts or comment?

I was thinking some thing similar, I love my green/creme IS....just not sure what happens to the paint after leaving it on for a year or two, or a day to two for that matter...

I have seen this done on many cars in Germany, the Taxi's over there all have that done because the general color for taxi's is a UGLY creme color and the resale with that color sucks, so instead of paint the wrap them and according to all reports the stuff comes right off with out damage to the original paint. I have yet to see a Bike done with that but asides from less area, meaning less $ I would think its the same.
Greetings, Yuri

I think it’s a good idea. You can use your cycle as a tax write off, buy more chrome, more of a write off!! I see where you’re going with this!! Good thinking!!

Couple of my VTX buddies have just this business.... and also have their bikes wrapped to some degree or another. I have no idea what happens after a few years of that being on, but I would imagine... not much. Here is a link to some pics of their stuff.... http://www.cyclegrafix.com/Photos.html

I'd love to wrap a Valk in "Real Tree" cammoflage and matte dark olive powdercoat most of the chrome and wheels.
Just to be different of course.
