Ok...the accident was on 30 Dec of last year.  Yesterday was the first time she was able to pick up items as small as a pencil and write with her right hand.

The dr says the reason for the prolonged pain and imobility is a thing (A SCARY THING) call R.S.D. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy I dont understand it.......I guess nobody really does so they dont really know how to properly treat it.  But removng all splints and using the hand differently is the order of the day and we had to buy a wax machine like they use in Occupational Therapy (OT) sticking the hand in hot wax and then in an insulated glove super warms the innerds and then more movement is possible and therefore more circulation and more flexibility.  She is on some heavy duty medicine now too so pray there arent any side effects because it seems to be working as intended so far.

The best news...........two days ago Judy announced she would not be going ot Cheaha.......today she feels almost certain she will be able to go.   YeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaa

If the R.S.D. is not controlled and it gets into bone, then it spreads and can be a permanent debilitating thing
