I just ordered a new Dunlop E3 front tire and 2 oz of Dynabeads from Jake Wilson for a grand total of $132.98.  They have all of their tires on sale now and I also googled a $20 coupon code which worked upon checkout.  I have no affiliation, just wanted to share.

Thats a good price no doubt...I would'nt run that POS tire if Dunflop gave it to me with free mounting. That tire just about put me into a guard rail on The Cherohala Skyline. It slid out from under me three times before I pulled it off before it got me hurt or killed. We are friends Dave please be careful with that tire. I've stated before I think it's " almost " as dangerous as the Rivco centerstand.

Yep, it worked for Avon Cobra as well.  cooldude The coupon code is    JW009    on orders of $150 or more.  Free shipping too.  Total of $139.98 for Cobra and Dyna Beads.
And I'm with Joe regarding the Elite.   tickedoff   of course, YMMV   Roll Eyes

I just bought a front and rear Avon cobra for the Valk from Jake Wilson, plus dyna bead kit with a 2 and 3 oz refill, $$329.47 delivered to my door. Plus tires arrived 3 days after I ordered online. I will be a repeat customer there.  cooldude

I had a set of E-3's on a Tourer and they cupped a lot on the front and rear.

I road them on a lot of high speed switchbacks, could be the reason.

Still i believe I ahd 6 thoussand miles on them and when I sold the bike they still had about 4

thousand left in them.

Joe at one time mentioned the manufactured date is long in the tooth from some of these

tire wholesalers.

Expiration date on tires for cars is becoming an issue.

I am saying rubber has a shelf life and you know some of these tires could be older than others.

I am just saying.

I certainly don't know that.

I agree it is something you need to check, but that was not a bad date.  When I got the free Metzeler front after buying a rear Metz, the free one was more than a year old.  I think that was the reason for giving them away.
Good point. Smiley

hey that's great news!  i was at a store called "farm & fleet" the other day and someone took a knife to my front tire.  (well, maybe, i don't know for sure, there is a harley dealer across the street and you know how they can get..... Roll Eyes)
i don't know  what could have caused the cut, but i'm not worried about riding it, there's plenty of tread.  does anyone have any idea what could have caused this?

Keep an eye on that!!! I hit a piece of angle iron on the road at night, scared the bejezzus out of me...I rode on the tire for a couple more thousand miles, developed a slow leak...turns out it fractures the steel bands within the tire and that was enough to cause the slow leak...only found it by running my hand over the tire treads...could not plug it, and it only had a couple thousand miles left, so I replaced it...

Whoa!  Just checked the prices on directlineparts for an avon cobra and they want 190.00 each.  I can buy two fronts from Jakewilson for 265 shipped to my house.

Let me think about that for a minute.  Undecided     That's it ordering from Jake Wilson...  I am also going to order a 5lb bag of beads as well.... not sure if Jake sells in bulk or I will just go through dynabeads website.  I think it is 60bucks but I plan on putting them in all my cars as well.

Thanks for the site!   cooldude

no, it is actually a cut, you can physicly see that it was done with a sharp object, whether or not it was a knife i don't know, but it was a "slash.

Got a D404 150/17 for the front, A 180/16 Bridgestone for the rear for 179 dollars, free shipping.  I know the Dunnie is bias ply, but for that price I'm gonna try it! I've used the BS before, it's good.  Will advise if any problems.   Shocked Hoser
