Can you give the guy a call and see about saving me a spot in that trailer? Man, that is a 450 mile trip. 2funny 2funny

I wonder how many people trailer all the way up, dump the bike out right outside Sturgis and ride in?

We were on one of Smokin' Joe's rides and were outside of Gatlinburg, I think, and this group of Valks pass a Valk in a trailer - you can imagine the looks he got from us as we sailed by - some things just ain't right.  Grin Grin

Welcome to the club RedWhiteandBruised.
If you are in knoxville you are very close to some others on here...Smokin'joe, Big Al, Lucky 13, misunderstood, and a few others.  I'm a little farther south in Cleveland.  I always go to sturgis the week before and leave the day it starts. Everything is there with less lines. The beer is fresh and so are the women.... 2funny

I have seen the posers unload bikes and "ride to Sturgis". Really quite pathetic. Their week old stubble carefully grown and unwashed jeans for effect.

The missus has osteo, and has a hard time goin over a tank at a time, if she wants to go we trailer, if she don't I ride.  Don't be too quick to judge.  Lips Sealed  We are both in our sixties, however if she ain't goin, I'm good for 1000 miles a day if I need to.  Left Rapid city at 0600 a couple years ago, pulled into Toepicker and home at 2145  840 miles on the odo.  The Hog matched me step  by step, infact he shagged on home to Council Grove from there, 55 more miles.  Hoser  coolsmiley

Those who have to trailer - no problem. Those who act as if they rode but DID trailer are sad.

If I go to CO and UT from GA with my KLR650 it will be trailered.

2 of the nicest people I met at Sturgis wer both HD riders. One from Oregon, the other from CA. Yep they both rode all the way.

I trailered to sturgis in '04.  But only because my 'Ol Lady decided she was going about 6 hours before I left.  If she stayed home... I was going to iron butt it 1135 miles to my buddies pop up camper in Gelnco campground.

I'll go back to sturgis... but not during bike week.
