Couldn't sleep good, excited about today's ride. Up at 4:30 on the road at 5:30 am, pulled back in the garage at 5:30 pm. 441.4 miles. Kinsey to Cheaha by 9:30. Met up with Tim, Sherry, Jack, Phyllis and Santa aka Tom. The first four rode the Ford, sinus problems (lots of pollen today) and Tom and I followed Tim for this year's Cheaha ride. Lots of nice backroads, great Alabama scenery, twisties, etc.. Everything you've come to expect from a Tim "Redvalk" Moore produced event.

Loved the route and looking forward to doing it again in about a month. There is still time to sign up and get in on the early registration deadline. Git-r-done. Oh, and the food. I was following and didn't even look at the name of the place. Some of you've been before. Right on Lake Martin and the lake is full.

Oh, and if you like rock-n-roll, Tim has the party lined up for you. Friday night at the Lodge. Do I get a wooooohoooooo.

Thanks Tim,

See ya in a month.

Yea, that old Ford "rode" good on the "pre-ride".  Cheesy

Santa, Steve, Jack, Phyllis, Sherry and I did the entire route. We locked down the lunch menu...and details. We'll have a room to ourselves (in the restaurant) right on the lake! We warned the Park Rangers at Horsehoebend that a "swarm" of bad to the bone Valks will descend upon them 1 May at the park. We've arranged to do a group photo in front of the cannon in front of the museum at the park. So when we arrive, everyone needs to park out front when we get permission (i just have to tell them we're doing it...cause we'll block traffic for a while when we do).

Everything's coming together. The route is set. Lunch. Park tour.

Oh, Sherry and i got to experience "the Cheaha experience". We stayed up top all weekend. I rode up Friday (she has bronchitus....so...she trailered her bike up top...and in fact, NEVER EVEN RODE IT). by the time i got up top....the temperature had dropped some 20 degrees from my house! And of course, it got windy....real windy. 40 mph + winds Friday night! Sherry couldn't even hang out by the fire outside...with her bronchitus. So we retreated into the cabin...and builit a fire in the fireplace. Temps dropped into the 30s...fog...wind. Next morning........brrrrrrrrrrr.................

Same drill again Saturday night.........wind........fog..........cold. Ahhhhhhhhhh....that's Cheaha in March and early April  Wink  cooldude

anyway, go Git-R-Done!!!!!!!!
