Things are getting better.  Since we were the last PSL to come into Angola, we were given a little bay at the end of the building and were working out of portacabins (converted shipping containers) behind the building.  Well, the Petroleum Gods stopped the fire right at our bay, so we have cleaned, moved and shuffled our stuff into our back bay where we can start operations and build our downhole tools again.  Our customer changed their drilling plans, to give us a little time to get our stuff up and running.  They cut all power to the rest of the building and we ran cables to the main generator and got power this morning.  We actually worked in our portacabins today.  Now, from our bay - forward - EVERYTHING is gone (along with our inventory).  I even spent Monday morning pushing a broom - hey, after 31 years, I was back to where I started with the company - just getting paid a tad more to do it than back then.  Grin

Still no communications - I am using a moviecell card right now that is SLOWER than dial up.  tickedoff  But Angola allowed our communication IT folks into the country from the States without visas or anything.  I have been impressed by our leadership team through this issue.

I am sending my FIRST 100% Angolan crew out tomorrow and I know the lads will make me proud.

The World is saying that they will supply us with stock to keep going until the calvery comes.  cooldude

All in all, life is getting better - long road ahead but things are coming together.

We were hit the hardest of any of the PSL's here - I mean we were not left with a screw or an O ring.....We lost absolutely EVERYTHING as far as stock, but we were really lucky when you come to think of it......Like they said in Apollo 13, "I think is going to be our finest hour!"

Thanks for asking bro!!!!

PS - Plus Numpty made it and even came out with a brother!!!!
