Our next Wrench Party will be at Lourdes & JC FORRECCO Allen's house this Saturday.  It's a come whenever, leave whenever, work on whatever day.  We'll probably get started around 9:00am and the weather forecast looks spectacular!

Continuing the hospitality they showed us last November, we will also be grilling and eating and drinking.  The difference this time is that instead of allowing our hosts to provide the meal, we are asking attendees to bring foodstuffs and beverages.

Suggested menu items include hot dogs / sausages / brats (kraut?), buns, spicy mustard / ketchup / sweet relish, chips / potato salad / baked beans / cole slaw, pop / beer, cookies, and of course pie.

Let's get a headcount started so we can 1) know who's coming, 2) know what everyone wants or needs to work on, and 3) start getting volunteers to bring snacks, drinks, and lunch.

The address is 2633 Camille Drive, Castle Hills / Lewisville, TX  75056.  Come up the alley on the east side of the house, turn left at the "T", and it's the first driveway on the left.

JC has a lift and if it looks like we'll need it, I'll get mine over there.

I really enjoy getting together with you all at the wrenching events. Always a great learning event for me with all the experience and knowledge available. Sure would like to attend this one, but the job calls on Saturday. I know you'll have a good time, hope to see you at the next one.

If anyone has or knows of OEM Saddlebags for sale, I have some interest.

Hey Stranger, Stretch has a set of hard bags listed on the classifieds.  I think he is in Garland.  They are black.

Can't make the wrench party even though we need to change the brake pads on Joe's 03.  I get the privilege of completing a statistics class this saturday.  Still haven't figured out how the alpha value of a research project will affect my patient care.  I figure if you get your information from a reputable source you can trust the data but that is not how the academics view things.  Just another hoop!  My hoop jumping is getting tired.  You guys have a good party. I'll be working this Sat.  However, if someone shows up with the carb sync gauges, maybe they will trust Frisco Dave to take custody for a few days.  I can probably meet up with him to re-do mine.  I've got a feeling we didn't let her get warm enough the first time around 'cause the idle goes between 950 ~ 1200 during a ride (at each stop - obviously).  VERY inconsistant and sounds a little goofy on the right bank.  Didn't have that PARTICULAR problem until AFTER we sync'd at the last wrench party.

I wish I could make it, but we are having our roof replaced on Saturday.  I was really looking forward to the wrench party...hopefully I'm able to make the next round.  Looks like great weather!

JC wants to make sure everyone knows that all women are especially invited to attend, whether wrenching, riding, or just hanging out with Lourdes.   cooldude

How did you know I was going to be closed tomorrow? I am trying to get my wife to agree to drive out to the WP on Saturday after we drop Chad off at the church @ 10:30. I will post tomorrow evening and let you know if we will be able to make it out.

I will try and make it tomorrow.  I get off work at 5am and need some sleep but when I get up I will stop by to say hello.  I will try and bring some brats for the grill.  After lunch I need to head back to work though, bummer.  Because of my lack of sleep I will hold off from doing any work on the valk but I will be glad to lend a hand.

I'll get the dogs & buns.  After that, it's wide open.

Come on everybody.  If you're coming tomorrow, chime in on what you're bringing to eat and/or drink.

I had fun today guys.  Thank you ValkPilot for assisting with my tail light mod.  Thanks for an excellent lunch JC.

DIF; what's the news on the handlebars?

Unfortunately, about 30 minutes after I arrived home I went out to the garage to admire my new lights some more and realized my rear tire was flat again.  My plug job only held for about 450 miles.  Since I have over 20K on my CT there is no way I am going to pull the tire and patch it so I'll pick up a new tire tomorrow at Discount Tire, has anyone ever had a CT mounted on a MC rim at the Discount Tire in Plano?

Any suggestions for getting one mounted in NE Dallas?  I need the tire mounted tomorrow so I can ride her to work Monday.

I bought mine and had it mounted at the Discount Tire in Corinth/Lake Dallas (Swisher and I-35E.)  They can't balance it, but you can static balance the way Jeff did when you mounted the first one.  I've got tape weights and Ride-On sealing/balancing compound if you need it too.

+1 on the thanks to Lourdes & JC.  They should have been out riding on such a beautiful day instead of putting up with David, Chuck, David, Charles, and Dave!

Thanks for bringing the gauges, Charles.

Thanks to the extra hands on hand  ???  I was finally able to swap the oem handlebars for the "experienced" VTX1800C handlebars.  I need to add several inches of pullback, but the wrist / elbow / shoulder position felt great on the way home.

Looking forward to seeing JC's new batwing when it arrives!

Looks like good times. My conflict was my fencing lesson. No, not the kind where you wear tights - the more manly art. We could easily blame Daniel and Carey for being such an inspiration with their projects in Clarksville. ~Jeff

None of the usual places open on Sunday and the ones that were didn't have my size in stock.  I bought another TT at Discount Tire in Irving this morning but they refused to mount it stating liability.  I guess I need to buy some of those huge tire spoons and get some tire mounting lessons so I don't have to worry about who will mount them from now on.

I hope to be road worthy tonight.
