Scarmbled to re-assemble bike - un-expected good weather in Central Ohio  Cool
Was waiting for my Progressive 440 shocks to get back from the shop (Being rebuilt)  Sad
Decided to put the stock shocks back on and get my first ride in for the season  cooldude

Russel Day Long seat was new addition - first 100 miles pretty comfy  Smiley the only draw back, the seat is wider, consequently I could not set flat footed at a light  Sad maybe after I get the other shocks back on and get the newness worn into the seat that will take care of itself  Roll Eyes

Also new - went to the DARK SIDE - first 100 miles - definetly different from a motorcycle tire. I did read all the precautions and what to expect - they where right on  Cheesy  I may have some problem manuvering at slow speed for awhile until I get use to that weird feel  Grin

Plan to put another 100 or so on Friday - HAPPY EASTER all you all  Wink angel

100 miles?  What are you going to do after breakfast?

Scoot forward on the seat until you get used to it. Well worth the wideness after you get a 500- 1000 mile day.

Rowdy, go play in a school parking lot over the holiday weekend.  Circles, u turns, etc. etc.  That will help you get used to the slow speed handling.

I find that keeping a GOOD tire on front helps to take out some of the unusual ride I THOUGHT was coming from the back.  40psi helps too.  100 miles, you just warming up!  Wink

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on the seat after some more miles.

I am reading all I can abut the car tire on the back of a Valk. That is the direction I want to go when I replace the rear tire on my 99 Valk. I ride almost 100% freeway here in Houston. I think it will be a good fit.
