I'm looking at an Interstate in the classifieds and the person selling says that some of the numbers on the digital display stays on after the bike is shut off he pulled the fuse for the radio and they went out says he has a new radio to go with the bike off E-bay do any of you Interstate owners know anything regarding this problem ?

Response i got to an E-mail to him.
No, I am not the original owner. My friend in N.J. was the owner and sold it to me. I never registered the bike in Maryland. I have always wanted an Instertate also and that is why I bought it from him. My problem is that between my wife and I, we have 7 bikes and we live in a Townhouse. I have to get rid of three of my bikes and one of hers.. My friend looked the bike over and believes the radio is not connected and that is why it is not working. For the price I am selling this bike, those are the minor problems. The insterstate is the only bike I have ready to go right now. I am willing to let this bike go for $6200 (and I am losing money from what I paid for it) so that you can get the wiring problem done yourself. I have another used radio I bought and will give it to the buyer. If you live within 100 miles from me, I can deliver it for a nominal fee. I have to pay too many tolls and gas to ride to N.J.
The tittle is from N.J. still, so you shouldn't have any problems registering it...I never got the radio going, so, I don't know if it has a CB. Usually these bikes come equipped with the CB, no? I believe the radio panel has CB on it, but don't quote me on it.. The bike is under covers...I also have real good speakers that can probably fit on the back speaker brackets. I will let them go for free...
Thanks for your interest...Please let me know cause anyone asking is going to get the same offer. I cannot go any lower than that price...

I unplugged my radio once and the display just stopped working, period.
Also, a CB was not stock, had to be added.

And Pinwall wants $400 for an OEM radio. Is that what this guy bought or is it just some radio that might or might not work, just like his rear speakers?
I don't know if it's a good buy or not, but I definitely wouldn't want to buy it sight-unseen.
