I am looking at buying a Valkyrie and took a look at one today which appeared to have some corrosion on the lower main frame.  Is this normal/something to be concerned about?

I believe it was originally used in Michigan and is currently in Cape Cod, Ma.
Unfortunately, I do not have a picture I can post.
The area in question is on the lower frame and appears to be a rough patch that looks like rust is just about to bubble through the paint but I cannot say for sure.  The bike has 10000mi and appears to be in very good condition.

If it was in Michigan and the rider got over anxious to ride in the Spring...then most likely a salt thing.

10-04 what therapist said on Michigan....

They do love their salt on the roads.....

I bought a 3 year old Pickup in Mi once, on the way back to California the passengers floor board dropped out.....

Pulled the body, took care of the frame, bought another body and rebuilt it to new....      Then I hated to drive it........   Finally sold it for about 1/2 what I had in it...        9 weeks later I get an accident call, pull up on the accident. look at the PU, and just gave it a kiss goodbye, and said good riddance.   It went to the salvage yard with a bent frame.
