anyone use the royal purple coolant? what is the stuff (or the stuff in coolant) I SHOULD avoid?

Well Royal Purple does not make a coolant perse but they do make a additive which I have running in my bike it reduces the surface tension of the water allowing it to do a better job of cooling. I have not had any problems with it but I am a Royal Purple addict

I think you don't want "silicates" in your coolant... look for "silicate free" on your coolant's label...

There is a FAQ on the Purple Ice and I just got off the phone with a friend of mine at the Royal Purple plant and he says that the Ice is silicate free.
As to your question Yes add in with your coolant per there directions.
