Anyone using them?  Did you use a relay to wire it into the harness?
What brand and order number ?
I am looking at putting one on my bike since it hydrolocked so I dont trash the starter, flywheel or mounts.

Thanks in advance

I have a Dan-Marc Shut Off Valve: http://www.dan-marc.com/rv-parts-12-volt-fuel-shut-off-valves.html

Connected in the ignition system, so it opens when the ignition powers on and closes when the ignition powers off.

You could do a search in the archive. Someone (can't remember who) came up lately with the idea to connect it to the bank angle sensor. This way, if you have and accident, the valve will turn the fuel off along with the ignition. I personally don't have the valve installed yet, but will probably in a near future.

You can't just use any hot wire. The only circuit killed with the bank angle is the starter system and the coils. The rest of the bike (lights, meters, etc.) remain hot.

The wire you want is BL/Wt. It's the one that comes from the kill switch to the coils and starter system. That's BLACK/WHITE shown below in the diagram of your kill/start switch system. Hooking to the Black/White wire from the kill switch to the coils will kill the coils and the fuel pump. All other wires remain hot. I would suggest that you use the BLACK/WHITE from the kill switch so the fuel pump will also be killed with the ignition both with the bank angle sensor and also the kill switch.

Another thought would be to hook the shut off valve to a manual switch.  You would need to turn it off and on, but would make a great back up anti theft device.  If someone rode off with your bike, it would run out of fuel in a short distance.  Wire it to a switched acc terminal, so go off with switch. If getting on and off all day in secure place, just leave the switch on.  Act like normal.  Turn it off for extra security at night, or in bad places.

Behind the right sidecover (on std & tourer) you will find the cables for (I think for the CB radio?).
They are connected to the igniton. Thats where I connected the shut-off valve.
