Sorry to here it, thoughts and prayers are with everyone.  My dad just went thru that 2 weeks ago. One clot in lung and one in leg.  The Dr. put in a IVC filter in his leg.  It will filter the clot if he has one in his leg again.  He is 85 and doing well know.

He's got 'em from NC.
Just makes me think about all the folks who retire and then their health goes south on them. However, Goody is one tuff hombre and I believe he will pull thru this.

Yep.  Happened to my father-in-law too.  He got laid off from his job at 60yrs old...so he said f-it...early retirement.  A year later he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and passed away 4 months after that.  We are all really thankful that he at least had that one good year before he got sick.

All the best thoughts coming from Northern Mi.  Goody is a great guy who often gives to others, time for some good fortune to come back and help a helper.

As for the, "retire and get sick" stories.  Many of those people actually retire early BECAUSE they feel the health failing or suspect some things are not right in the old body.  So, they grab the remaining years while the grabbin' is good...like me in 8 weeks.

Prayers sent from TEXAS!

P.S.  Never got to thank you publicly for the boots you gave me at IZ9.  You said that they didn't fit your feet, but fit mine perfectly.  I wear them at least 3 times a week.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Get well soon Goody,

Goody, get better buddy, we still have that foot race to run..

Thoughts and prayers headed your way from Iowa.....
RJ,
About that foot race after our knee surgerys.  The rules have changed a little.  First one still standing as the front wheel of our oxygen cart crosses the finish line. Winner gets the oxygen bottlle with the most left in it.
