There are several smaller shields available but, remember, less shield equals more buffeting. You would do as well going without.

I ran a Memphis Shades "Alley Cat" for 30,000 miles or so. Raked it back to match the angle of the forks which helped quiet the buffeting. A full face helmet also helps. This year I am back to the "Tourer Look" with large shield & bags.

I ride 90% without a windshield, but at looong rides I use National Cycle Windshield The SwitchBlade system allowed me to easily install, switch, or remove the windshield in less than 10 seconds. This windshield do not fit the Valkyrie without modifications. I had to drill four new holes for the mounting hardware. I also had to bend the hardware to make it wide enough

Not sure what the measurments are but theres a site on ebay that has different sizes for HD fairings. I have one on my batwing that I had to trim to fit custom. Its smoke colored lexan. If I had the oem shield measurments I could see if its the same size as the HD one. Its only $35 or less. They have them up to 12".

Dag, your windshield looks perfect. Does it work though. Does it help at all with wind?

Good wind protection. This is all you need to avoid the wind pressure on your chest. At high speed the wind will go over my helmet as well.

15" Memphis Shades Slim, angled back. No buffeting, enough protection. Looks less dorky than most shields.
