Can you believe first time using after the fix of the pull cord the thing broke. Well the rest of the tale is that she started having problems staying running and restarting when warm, so that new rope got a work out on friday, BUT STILL!!!!
So today Im tackling the lawnmower AGAIN........replace the pull cord AGAIN but first I dealt with the fuel problem, why she starved for gas everytime you got her running. Took the carburator off and completely tore it down, yep! all two moving parts....LOL cleaned everything including the gaskets........was pretty dirty.......all the o-rings and rubber parts looked better than I expected them to look (I thought the alkeehol gas hs tore up the rubber parts) but it all looked good after cleaning so I put it back together and went to the heavy equipment shop in town for som REAL pull cord, not that crappy junk from China that Lowes and Wally world sell.
I was also more careful and was able to do it without the spring going SPRANG which is a good thing.
Bottom line......runs like new and all for a grand total of .67 for the new rope and the cost of the gas in the Valkyrie to go get it. There Valk related now. Just wish my Valk projects were so cheap!!!!!
