Where's the outrage from our resident PC obsessed board liberals concerning this post's subject??? Could it be the old double standard at work here????  I mean, make a joke about Hindus which are mostly people of a slightly different tint, and the PC libs get all excited. Maybe since the pun in this post pokes fun at a mainstream Christian religion, all of a sudden it's OK???? Just askin'... Always interested in probing into the minds of the libs.  |

Personally, it wouldn't surprise me to discover that whites may indeed be the minority within Christianity.

How the hell does this become a liberal vs conservative thing? Aren't the republicans the ones most aligned with the "religious right"?? Who wouldn't be pissed about this? As someone who stands a little left of center, I personally am outraged about this whole catholic priest molestation crap that has been going on for ages. I'm not catholic, but my wife's family is and they are not happy either. Who would be? We got married in a catholic church and before we were married we had to meet with the priest. He suggested that I might think about becoming catholic. I told him no and even told him what I though about organized religion in general. It's all about money...a church I attended as a kid had a much-beloved pastor who refused to really play hardball and shake down the congregation for more money, so they got rid of him and brough in someone else. Well, he too was a nice guy...he didn't last a year. About that time, we quit going. In fact alot of people quit going so much that the church folded as a Southern Baptist Church and is now non-denominational. I even had a friend who attended a church that was across the street from another church. They actually had an ongoing fued over who brings in more money....true story!! Now, we'll occasionally go to church with my wife's grandparents (holdiays, etc.) and it always cracks me up. They pass the donation baskets around twice and the thought always runs through my head that they must not have had enough envelopes the first time around. So yeah...as a liberal...I'm outraged. They talk about why the molester-priests weren't defrocked. Screw that...I want to know why they aren't in JAIL!!!

Sorry, I didn't mean to attack Christians....the church, yes, for their practice of deceipt in this matter, but not the congregation. If I were a church goer, I would be more offended by the churches handling of this than some silly play on words.
BTW, Catholics don't have a monopoly on child abuse. To Catch a Predator got a Rabbi, a doctor, a truck driver, a computer tech, etc.
