441 between Gatlinburg, TN and Cherokee, NC and a portion of the Blueridge Parkway.  Winter must have been tuff up there because there was still some snow in the ditches on both roads!  Was Z'ing it on this trip as Thelma and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, which was yesterday............

What do you think we have here in WV, have you been on the Highland Scenic Highway in Pocahontas
county.
Come on down to Summers, Greenbrier, Monroe, & Pocahontas countries and I'll show you what God's country is really like.
The Smoky Mts. have nothing better than we do, just lots & lots more people.
Well I'll admit, Deal's Gap is a good warm-up for southeastern WV.

congrats brian on 30

I been in TN/NC smokies, the Ozarks of Arkansas and a good part of West Virginia, they all have some great roads and people but IMHO WV is right up there in the exciting roads department.

+1 on the less people part but the ones I met was all real nice even if they talk different

Thanks for all the good wishes,  Alph, I have never been to Wisconsin but have always wanted to visit.  It's on the list.  Buster, I agree bro, " our Mountains " are 2nd to none, and no long lines of traffic!!  I do have a soft spot for PF and the Smokies and there is Deal's Gap too. Besides, my buddies Joe, Al and Gordon live down here.......     Grin

Hey OSS,  I will be in Branson in June, attending a Z Car rally there. Meeting up with my brother from Denver there. Branson may not be a lot of fun but I hear the Ozarks are almost as good as TN/NC or WV.  Gotta be more fun than crossing the George Washington Bridge when the bottom deck is closed....   Grin   What ya mean, " talk different" ?  We all speak americun round here   cooldude

Congratulations on the anniversary Brian.  cooldude Glad to hear you're out celebrating. 30 years is something to celebrate.
I guess we all think our mtns and twisties are the best. I've spent more than a week total riding in WVa. Nice roads and beautiful scenery and I look forward to getting back up there. But I like Carolina and TN better. I know plenty of great roads that have very little traffic. I'd tell y'all about them, but then they'd have lots of traffic.  Wink

If any of you are ever in sothern WV, the wife and I have a little Dairy-Bar at Talcott on the Greenbrier River, its called "Talcott Station". Stop by and have one of
the world's best Hot Dogs & an Apple-Cider Freeze, then I'll show you a great ride thru Summers, Greenbrier, and Pocahontas countries, you'll love the Highland Scenic Highway.

I will definitely agree with you!  West Virginia is gorgeous.  Haven’t been down there since I was about 8 and I wasn’t able to drive!!!  My father’s cousins have all since moved out, and died so I don’t have family down there anymore.  I do have a cousin in Lafayette TN, haven’t seen him in over 20+ years.  Should use that as an excuse to visit…

If you ever plan to come to Wisconsin, you’re more then welcome to stay with us!!  We can show you a few nice roads, no mountains though, sorry.  Best time to visit would be in July or August.  After that it starts getting cold.
