Here's a picture of my office... this room has a raised machine-room style floor, and they're going to
run us out soon and fill this room up with racks of computers... This is the best office I've ever had...

Here's why - I never had a window before...

So... it's Friday, an awesome day, and spring is breaking out all over...

So I headed out to Grits and Groceries... here's what Tomato Pie looks like (and a bowl of chowder)...

Goodbye!

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Nope, not in my "office". I gotta walk like 30 yards to the pot.

Mike, I spent over 20 years in one of those cubicles; we called them "working holes."

I retire, effective..........today (so no more cubicle).

Well... congratulations... I remember at Gettysburg you said you wanted to retire and move out
of the city and into the woods... are you moving soon?

From the picture of your server, I might have hung around a bit longer after the tomato pie and chowder.    Evil angel

They don't make enough money to cage me up in one of those boxes day after day after day ...I would go insane . The view from my office is never the same.

Mine is never the same either, but the changing stuff is all inside those 24 inch monitors... a cool thing
I learned about recently is "library interposition"...

No, I need to hang in about three years to complete a number of things; fix up house, get some back in the real estate market, become age eligible for my 401K/Ira, find a place in E TN to move to, throw/give/sell stuff away to prepare for move.  That and learn to relax.... and ride where and when I want.

I did go insane.  That is why I retired four years early.  I'm getting better now.
