So my lady and I were entering the Scottsdale Westworld Fair Grounds for the Arizona Bike week.  I was a bit ahead of here and the security guy asked me to open my vest so he could see if I had a weapon.  ( They never check the boot.)  He also asked me if I was carrying and I said no.

My lady was right behind me and the guy asked her the same question.  She calmly said “honey I got a pair of fully loaded 38’s in my bra. What you going to do about it?” I am not sure who was more surprised/shocked by this answer.  The security guy or me.  He just stepped to the side and she walked through laughing.  She later admitted that she did not know what prompted her to say that and it was totally out of character.  But it was funny.

Ironically they do not allow guns or blades over 3 inches long to be brought through the entrance gate but vendors sell knifes with longer blades and swords.

Wow.  Good thing I wasn't the security guy  Wink

On about October 10th 2001, my wife and I went on a cruise for our tenth anniversary.  We flew out of MSP to TPA.  While going through security my wife gets pulled aside for having a pair of scissors that she uses to cut coupons.  They took 'em away!  needless to say, I had a Gerber pocket knife that I realized I had in my pocket about two minutes earlier , I slipped into our camera bag then got through security!  With a knife!  30 days after 9/11!!!  While in the air I pulled out my knife from the camera bag, and showed her.  She got mad cause those scissors were her good ones!!

Last November we flew to PHX.  My daughter had just bought an expensive bottle of hand lotion.  A 6 ounce bottle, with her own money.  She was crying!!

I don’t get it.  If you fail to stop for a sign, or you decide to speed, or you break any other law while driving, shouldn’t you expect a ticket?  They’re just doing their jobs aren’t they?  Remember, the next time you order a burger with no onions, and you receive it with onions, don’t get mad at the cook, if you expect to get away with it, shouldn’t they?

When we go to a rally over in Ohio they search for glass bottles, since there are not allowed in. They take them without giving you a chance to put them in a different container. Then they party for free later.  Angry The local liquor stores has empty plastic jugs on hand to empty your contents into. Thats service!  cooldude

Cant tell you how many times security has stopped me for bringing in my own alcohol to a concert at Sturgis. I just fill a Mt Dew 2 liter bottle with jack/ MT Dew and walk in. Or I just lock it in the saddle bag and ride right in. They dont search bikes.
