In order to meet everyone in Granbury at 8:15, I'll leave the house at 6:00 and take 380 west to Decatur and 51 south to Granbury.  I know that route doesn't work for most of us, but if you haven't ridden 51, it's worth the effort and sure beats riding through town.  (Plus, there could be a very interesting Valkyrie performance-related field trip on the way home...)

Who else is going and where do you want to meet up?  North side with me?  Mid-Cities with Sidecar?  Benbrook with TX Wolfman?  Granbury before the scenic ride-in?  Dublin?

B.A.D.

I need to be back in town by 3-3:30 but think I can make the trip as it's only 2 hours back from Dublin by super slab.  What time will you be at the intersection of I-20 and 51 on Saturday?

RainMaker,

I plan on being at the Chevron Station (407 W Pearl Street, Granbury, TX) at 8:15, or so, ready for 8:30 KSU.  Pearl is 377 Business and the Chevron is just west of 51.

It is about 45 minutes from Granbury to Dublin when you take 377. They want everybody ready by 10:45. You can make that.  cooldude

First Dave is not so BAD anymore. The parade is an hour max staging included. You should be good to go. Fort Worth is only 1-1/2 hour from Dublin.  cooldude ~TJ

B.A.D. could be "broken ass Dave" or "bad ass Dave".  So B.A.D. works.

I know it's a quick ride on the slabs but wanted to go on 51 - it's a good twisty road to Granbury.

I'm in.  Where do you want to hook up? (Alternative suggestion: Come over the bridge, we'll meet at the house and take 407 through Justin to 114 to 51.)

A scenic route between Frisco & Granbury might work better for me on the way home.  How about the NE quadrant of 380 & 35 - Race Trac, McD's, Chevron?  KSU no later than 6:30?

Maybe, just maybe, Dave in Frisco doesn't want a constant reminder that a cager not paying attention crashed into his 'Wing totaling it and sending him flying 100' and left him with a cracked pelvis.  I know I'd rather forget that experience and move on...

I guess I just don't understand the rules.  I'll just keep quiet as I have no desire to cause problems.  Sorry.

Not really going through Justin, Paul.  I'm going 380 from Frisco through Denton to Decatur, then 51 south to Granbury.  I should be at 380 & 35 by 6:30, Decatur by 7:00, and Weatherford by 7:45 to meet Rainmaker at the gas station in the SW corner of I-20 & 51.  If you'd like to meet up at one of those places, just let me know to be looking for you.

Thanks, Chuck.  I didn't know you were clairvoyant.  I know I don't really know or understand the rules.  I also know my handle is both too long and not very original.  If this meets with approval, JC / formerly FORRECCO / now Yoda Master shortened my handle in a recent text and called me Disco.  I'd rather be Disco than dance around the BAD maypole of 26 September 2009.

Race Trac.  It's easier to get in and out of the lot with the construction.

I sure am glad I spent all that time cleaning the bee from the ride home from the GOTF...  tickedoff   It was trashed again before I got to 380.  Valkpilot and I rode out from under the clouds between Denton & Decatur, and it was beautiful the rest of the day.  Windy at times, but 30 miles of rain for 325 miles of fun and friendship is a pretty good trade in my book!

Thanks, TJ!
