Has anybody had any problems with "Direct Line Parts". I am gettin a bad feeling that they are giving me the run-a-round on a (two) refunds. I have done everything they requested of me in a very timely maner and still no refund. They keep telling me they have issued, but it does not show up on my credit card. Angry It's been over three weeks, I'm startin to get piss  Angry ts. I have bought over 4k $ worth in the past 8 yrs or so. If I get this issue fixed in a couple of days , I will let ya'll know, but for now I'm done with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tickedoff

I have had nothing but good experiences with them, but what you can do is contact the credit card company and they will go after them. I had that issues with some VW parts I ordered while stationed in Germany and the company in CA took the money and ran, so I called Discover they reimbursed me my money and went after the company.

Good luck and keep us posted, I would hate to have others have issues with them

I have had many great experiences with HDL, but my last 2 experiences were terrible.  bad enough I won't use them again unless, I can't find it any place else.

I dunno... the last "ohfishal" word I heard was that HDL had gathered up their toys and were gonna go play elsewhere and had it in for the hand that fed it (us)... that was a number of years ago.  I dunno whether bridges were mended 'tween the "powers that be"... but I sure haven't ever seen an attempt by Hal to ask to be a "friend" again.  I saw a nice gesture from LaMont at one of the IZ gatherings (which was very nice, and I was glad to see him again).  All I've ever seen from HDL are emails inviting me to resume spending money with them for parts and such (which I haven't).

Thanks for the imput guys, I will try to talk to Hal today if I can. What's ironic is that the invoice comes out of Hendersonville, NC. That's only an hour from me. If they think I won't come to the front door and ask to see the person in charge, well then, it will be an eye opener for them. I can be like a dog on the hunt if I need to be! I will try to be business like, because this is the best way! But being a "redneck" does have it's place sometime.

SO FOR NOW I WILL "NEVER" SPEND MONEY WITH "DIRECT LINE PARTS" EVER AGAIN,EVEN IF I HAVE TO DO WITHOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WILL ALSO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE (BBB) tickedoff

i order from Hal frequently.....and deal with Lamont often as he and Hal sponsor the Rune board i run. as someone mentioned recently, Hal's wife passed recently....so i'm sure things might not be quite back "on par" at HDL?

But i do know, i've had nothing but great success dealing with them....for years. But i have not ordered since his wife passed ( want to say she passed in March). I also know, ANYTIME i've ever heard of anyone calling Hal or Chris....99% of the resulting stoires i've seen and heard have ended up with a happy ending. CALL THEM...............talk to them.

Anyway, my last comment on dealing with companies is i frequently see folks on here...on the Rune board too from time to time....bash vendors. I see folks bashing Corbin, HDL, Cobra, Viking (when they were in business)....the list goes on and on. Sometimes, in this modern technological era...i think it is so easy to give ANY vendor a bad name...by bashing them in an "instant" media environment. It just takes a couple of posts on a board like this...sometimes by well meaning folks. Next thing you know, it's like an urban netlore or legend....and folks start saying "well i heard old Bill got a bum deal"....and the story takes on a life of its own. And before you know it, that vendor/company name is "mud". Whether really deserved or not.

On the Rune board...we really frown on that........cause we have such a limited "pool" of vendors/companies to buy ANYTHING from for that bike. We hate to see folks....whether they mean to or not....drive off vendors by making bad comments. GRANTED...some comapanies really deserve it!!!!!!!!  But SOME....do not. And all it takes is some bad press to scare away some wary vendors. We've learned that the hard way on the Rune board. And typically, once they're gone....they're gone.....  We had HDL sponsor here at the VRCC once upon a time. They left. We had VIking. I saw folks bash them too....until they were gone (of course, they're out of business....).

I'm just saying....me....i'm kind of leery about jumping to the gun to bash dealers/vendors/etc. NOT SAYING ANYONE IS SPECIFICALLY DOING THAT IN THIS POST (cause i know how sensitive some folks can be...and quick to start flaming back  2funny ) Just saying it's always good to proceed with caution....get the facts...don't jumpt to conclusions...etc..... cooldude

Damn Timmie-Bob, you can write and express yourself pretty good.

Also, I AGREE with ya.

I have always gotten things straightened/fixed or what ever ya call it via a phone call to Hal or Chris.

sometimes i can....sometimes  Wink. But we all know, i can't spell worth a HOOT  Roll Eyes

We've lost half the few vendors we had in the "Rune world". You know, bike no longer made...limited numbers....not much profit to be made...etc. SOUND FAMILIAR? yea.........

I know i respect the hell out of folks like Mike Terry.......who keep hanging around and not only providing a good product...but supporting this club. I KNOW..........he and others like him.......are NOT GETTING RICH ON US......................

I agree with most everything you said and here's why:

Freedom of speech is the freedom to speak without censorship and/or limitation. The synonymous term freedom of expression is sometimes used to indicate not only freedom of verbal speech but any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and the right is commonly subject to limitations, such as on "hate speech".

The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The ICCPR recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression".[1][2] Furthermore freedom of speech is recognized in European, inter-American and African regional human rights law.
