The pain is intence and the drugs are starting to hurt as well...I hope I get out of here alive.

Hang in there Joe and just remember how amazing the doctors were that treated Presley and Morgan and all the others we have read and prayed about over the last few years.  You are in good hands and have a big family here keeping you in prayers.  i WILL see you on the road Joe.

You have our prayers, concerns, and support to help you through this. please let us know if we can help in any way and we'll be there. I had no idea Saturday you were hurting that bad but I knew you weren't 100%.  Please do as the doctors ask and you'll be out in no time. From an Ex-Smoker, quitting now would be the best thing you could do for yourself and that precious family. Now, heal up, get through this valley, and we'll all go conquer another mountain real soon...

.....its seems all men are programmed basically the same way....we experience pain and in our heads we immediately think....I can over come this ...I can "will" it away.....and its not until we are doubled over with pain....that we relent and seek help.....I can hear in you words...your alarm and desperateness.....relax....calm down....you made it past the worse part....your job now is to get better for that beautiful family that surrounds you......they are all around you now...as are your friends......you,re going to be fine.....

Joe, I've been watching and reading all the notes posted in your support and it's moving to know a person is so well thought of and cared about. Please know that I am among those offering up both support and prayers for you and your family. Heal quickly my friend, now would be a good time to reflect on some liftetime habits, it can only help and improve health issues.

No worry son, ya'll will come out alive if ya pay attention to the Dr's and Nurses.   The pain is going to get a little worse tomorrow or the next day, then after that is is all downhill to recovery....

We will have to compare 'T' shirts when I see ya again...

Mine happened on April 3rd, 1997, and I'm still here........  Only problem was, I had a faulty Quad heart bypass procedure that caused it.  Should have file mal-practice on the bast*rd, but I'm not into the suing part allowed in this country.    I'm just a Redneck ass whumper.

Well good to hear all is getting better. I can't imagine the pain you endured! Before you decided it was not going away without help. A friend of mine had fallen and somehow punctured his lung and it collapsed. Took him almost a year to get over it. He said the breathing exercises really hurt but had to do them.  Praying and hoping you feel better fast. On another note with all the Bling that is on your Valk Stable and the amount of riding that you do, YOU can now say you have given a Left Lung for it.  tickedoff Hope Laughing doesn't hurt to much.  2funny

Joe,  I wish we lived closer, so I could check on you.  I know its tough, and you really can't get any quality rest in a hospital, then there's the pain...I'm sendin' up the prayers for you..and Cindy.  She
has to be worn out as well.  I may run up there, just for the heck of it...and do a toenail check on ya.
LOL......Joe, you're gonna get through this, and be up ridin' in know time.  Listen to them doctors, and
Cindy...rest, take it easy, and give yourself time to heal.  We'll be seeing you in just a few months,
unless I make the "Toenail Check Run"  then I'll see you very soon.

Wife went through the same thing 2 years ago, twice. Spontainious phunmothorax (sp, but you get it). Got re inflated and spent 5 days in with hoses in her back and chest. Got out, of the hospital and dropped the lung again. This time they did surgery and scraped the inside of the cavity so the lung would adhere. Did 16 days that time and she has been mean ever since, course, she was mean before.. wha? No dear, I'm not talking about you... yes dear..... yes dear.....

Gotta go...

Give yourself 10 days for healing Joe.
It's going to take at least that long with lots of pain. Use all the pain meds you can.
It helps the healing process.
Carolyn and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I didnt know your Hebrew name when I went up to put you on the prayer list so I just said these prayers are for SmokinJoe from Tennessee.

Got some mighty nice smiles from the congregation. Guess they figured you must be one of my southern motorcycle riding redneck friends.

But got a big chorus of amens as well so its all good

Like RJ said, it gonna get a bit worser before it gets better, and the rehab will be real fun.

My secretary has some vacation time coming up. You want me to send her down to Knoxville to keep your bikes shiney and clean, or are you just gonna hope Detn8er faces west next time it rains?  I am pretty sure that you liked this one. IF you dont I will give you an upgrade
