Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAD A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It's worth a try!) One Nation Under God

This prayer was actually delivered by Pastor Joe Wright of Central Christian Church of Wichita Kansas on the opening of the Kansas Legislature.

Sure it is .
But it is true to the bone.

The message is the part that is true and it convicts hearts and minds to reflect on one's position on moral issues.

I defy anyone to debate the issues that are invloved and say that these things are not what is happening and the correct path back.

Snopes that if you can.

Deception ,,,,,please,,,,,,, just the wrong guy was given credit it still rings very true.

Search your hearts for the path back.

When America is good it is great.

When we as a country are off the path we will   ,,,,,,, cease to be great.

I think we are seeing the future for our country dwindle and this is the only true way back.

The point is that truth should stand on its own.

When folks disseminate stories that have been enhanced, altered, "improved" to intensify their effect they do a disservice to their cause.

The willingness to deceive even in a small degree poisons the message.

The general rule is that if you got it in a mass email, it's probably not entirely true and therefore not worth passing on.

That's my perspective.

"A wise man will change his mind but a fool never will"  You don't need Snopes to refute the authorship.  That quote is scattered around in many places and has been since before our friend, Al Cates, was born.  It's likely that it originated as a Spanish proverb.

Sometimes, but not always, it's more effective to quietly demonstrate the truth by the example of the life one lives than to boisterously and obnoxiously proclaim correction. That's a paraphrase of, "Just 'cause you're loud don't make you right."

Keep the shiny side up, Al.

"Go out and preach the gospel and if you must, use words." -- St. Francis of Assisi

Witnessing to the Goodnes of the Lord is every Christians Duty.

This can be construed as Preaching.

But it is not in my case.

Just happy to be alive and sober and in the hands of a Gracious Creator that will call me home one day to his Eternal Rest. How could that not make a person happy and it's completely free, less any man should boast he or she has earned this blessing. angel

If you are happy and you know it clap your hands. Evil
