Down on the left front wheel hub. Kinda like a box type thingy.

If you can find an aftermarket speedo that utilizes magnets inserted into the front wheels left rotor allen head bolts and an integrated pickup coil and computer to read the signal you would be good to go. But, I'm guessing rather expensive.
Perhaps an electronic speedo unit which interprets speeds electronically.
Either way. Mucho dinero.

i don't think it will work on a standard.  the IS works on an electronic impulse, it's not an actual cable that goes to the speedometer.  the IS speedo cable also controls the volume of the radio.

A friend wanted a different speedo on his Valk and it was elec. driven, came off a VTX 1800C. I installed the I/S speedo pickup, bolts right into the same place as the cable driven unit. Then ordered a correction module from Speedo Healer. You have to wire it into the output line from the pickup, then to the speedometer. The instructions tell you how to set it for the right reading on the speedometer, I set his about 3 mph fast so he had a little fudge factor in there in case he got a little heavy on the throttle. It cost about $110 when I got it a while back, but it will correct signals to an elec. speedo perfectly. I think it will make corrections up to something like +9,999% to about the same in the negative direction. I just ran some extra long wires and laid it on the battery cover. Check it out, setting the correction is a breeze. You find out the approx. correction needed in mph, go on their website and punch in the numbers and it will tell what to set it to. If not quite what you want yet, go back to the website and punch in the new numbers...reset the module again. Real simple to use. The VTX speedo has the same voltage spike driving the speedo, but a different shape sine wave shape so wouldn't work directly until I installed the Speedo Healer. Click on the GLPro in the left column, the next screen click on Speedo Healer, read up on it. It has a lot of stuff you won't use in there, basically all you do is wire it in and set the module after determing how far off you are.
