First ride since the crash. Managed to do about 125 miles today, started out slow on local roads, after 50 miles hit the super slab for a while, bike runs great, so far no gremlins. New Avon Cobra tires ride as smooth as glass. First miles were a little scary, as the bike handles a lot diffrent, taking the dark side tire off made the steering light and quick, couple of times almost cut curves too sharp as I did not expect it to turn so easy. Going back out later today and work on some great back roads I know of.  It is GREAT to be back in the saddle.   Smiley

Wow..125 miles is no small "break in" ride. As someone who had riding "taken away" from them for a spell, I think I know how ya felt. It's pretty exhilarating to get back on again to see the sights, hear the sounds and whiff the smells(even roadkill) that we all take for granted--until we lose it!

I am addicted, came home grabbed a bite to eat, and rode another 70 miles on back roads close to home.  Got to get back in the groove, headed to the Smokies in May.

Good to know that all is going well. My Standard was totaled about three weeks ago and I just brought home a "new" Interstate a couple days ago. I had a car pull out in front of me, so everytime I came to a crossroad with a car waiting to pull out I was pretty freaked out, but no problems.

It's great to be a valkyrie rider!
